Spider-Verse Mention Not a Zendaya Reference, Confirms Director
In Zendaya's film "Challengers," the reference to "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" was not a nod to her role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as MJ. Director Luca Guadagnino clarified that the title was chosen because it would have been organically mentioned by a young girl asking her mother (portrayed by Zendaya) to watch a movie. Additionally, the title was easily cleared for use thanks to producer Amy Pascal's involvement, making it a convenient choice.According to Luca Guadagnino, obtaining rights for movie usage is a complex process. With Amy Pascal's assistance, he sought a Sony catalog title for ease of clearance. Given that the target audience, Lily, might prefer Spider-Man cartoons over films like The Social Network or The Post, Guadagnino chose Spider-Verse as the title for their project. He acknowledged that his comment could have come across as an in-joke, admitting that unconscious influences guide our thoughts and actions.Given the 2019 setting, it aligns with the young character's likely interest in the groundbreaking superhero movie that premiered in late 2018.Despite Zendaya's involvement in the "Spider-Man" trilogy and her real-life relationship with Tom Holland, who portrays Peter Parker, many viewers may interpret her performance in the tennis movie as a subtle nod…- 42

Hugh Jackman’s Near-Miss Wolverine Costume
Hugh Jackman was on the verge of donning the iconic yellow-and-blue Wolverine costume during the Fox-Marvel era, the actor himself has revealed."I almost wore the iconic yellow-and-blue suit in 'The Wolverine'," Jackman revealed. "But when I tried it on for this movie, I was astounded that we hadn't done it sooner. It felt so natural. 'That's him,' I realized. This suit showcases unexplored facets of Wolverine's character.
